Caffiene addiction

I just decided I’m going to give up Coke.

On a normal work day, I will probably buy a Vanilla Coke or Coke Zero.

Because I have it so often, I’ve noticed that since moving to Melbourne I would probably have one on one of my weekend days off as well.

Essentially I’m buying 6 a week. Work charge $2.70 for them, and I’d say that the average cost at a shop would probably be the same.

The average week in mind, I’m spending $16.20 on coke alone per week. In a 4-week period I’m spending $64.80. Per pay-month it would average to $70.20. In a year, $842.40. That’s kind of crazy when you think about it. That’s something like 1% of my annual income, or so.

Anyway, budget aside (because it wasn’t really all about the money), it’s also a more healthy approach. I just finished my last coke about 10 mins ago.

Let’s see if I can make it a week.

If I can do this, then maybe I can give up coffee next, too! HAHA.

WP2.6

I just updated. The Google Gears features look interesting. Was playing around with 2.6 last night over 3G internets and Dreamhost (aka the epitome of s-l-o-w) and pages were loading up really fast: Hooray.

Argh!

Seems when work did a batch of recent DNS updates, they put my site on the wrong IP addresses, and subsequently it was redirect looping. Uh-oh.

Fixed it for now, although I need to remember to fix it for good tomorrow (few more settings).

In other news, WordPress 2.6 is out and I need to update. I updated my test site I have stored locally and everything seems to have run normally. I’m loving the wiki-like revisions features, very very nice. I’m going to try updating tomorrow morning :D
