in need of a new domain

Wanting to do some self-marketing today, I’ve gone on a domain hunt. After registering a couple of joke domains, and transferring some of my other domains to a new provider, it doesn’t seem like I’ve really gotten anywhere. Who the hell would want to own my named domains? Check. these. out.
Stupid internet squatters. None of them seem to be in use at all. Blah! I’m stuck on ideas of what to register.

Hey cyberstalkers, any ideas?

    so, exactly how many domains have you got registered? In total? Including the joke ones?

      Hey Manda,

      I’ve got quite a few. probably about 15ish?.. my main ones are…
      chasmofsarr.com, my randomness blog;
      pebkac.com.au, currently the site redirects to chasmofsarr.com, but i’ve got a number of subdomains that do other stuff;
      iams.am, which I’m intending to use as a self-marketing type thing;

      some of the notable joke ones…
      grenravery.com, a mock-up of a melbourne suburb “Glen Waverley”, which has an unusual high penetration of a certain populus;
      intermesting.com (which is just like interesting, but more mested…. or something), which curently redirects to inter.mesting.com…which on that note;
      mesting.com, with it’s subdomain, inter.mesting.com…
      hilorious.com, a combination of hilarious and glorious;
      and one i registered when work had a promo, something to do with n00bs… but I can’t remember the name right now.

      It kind of becomes an fashion statement when you work in a hosting company… all of the support guys seem to collect them.

      I’m in real bad need of consolidating them all to a single registrar and then consolidating to what ones I actually want to keep..

    Hi Sammy,

    How do you keep track of them all when they’re so spread out like that??? I have problems with one! :)

    • Sam Says:

      Ummm.. loads of hard work! I wrote a PHP/mysql app to track registrar/domain/expiry/password or login details which is helpful, but most of the time it’s just a matter of making sure i check them all regularly…

    the wordpress themes I’ve used so far have all come from the free themes section of the wordpress website. The current one is “twilight Crown” found here: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/twilight-crown

    The pictures change depending on the time of day on the server itself, there are four of them. This is the theme I like the best of all I’ve used thus far :)

      I was looking around the WP2.8 theme installer (which indexes the wp.org site)… found a few I like, but I really want one that can do all the 2.7 flashyness (gravatars, comment threading, etc)
